COVID-19 has created an incredibly stressful work environment for direct care staff.  Every day they walk into homes and situations that could contain invisible threats to their health and safety.  They also face the fear of unknowingly infecting their families or their clients.  Clear and open employee communication is always important in-home care; the COVID-19 emergency makes it even more essential.  

It is important to let your workers know the steps you are taking to keep them safe in their jobs and to share information with them about any funding that you receive from the State that will enhance their wages.  Our workers need to know that agency management cares about their safety and understands and respects the work that they do and the stresses that they face.

This webinar will review the components of an effective employee communication strategy, including how to respond when a union contacts your employees and in turn, they reach out to you.  We will also share best strategies on what you can do relative to information that a union may put out that may not be factually accurate.
