Council Staff

Hayley Gleason, MS, MSW, Interim Executive Director

    Hayley oversees the grant efforts of the organization, including 
    grant writing, execution of grant activity, managing community 
    partnerships and evaluation. She also participates in curriculum 
    development and training. Previously she worked on the Personal 
    Home Care Aide State Training grant established through the 
    Affordable Care Act as case manager and evaluator. Prior to 
    moving to Massachusetts, Hayley was the Associate Executive
    Director of an assisted living facility in Colorado where she
    hired, trained, and supervised direct care workers.

    Hayley received her Bachelor’s degree from Elon University and
    her Master in Social Work from the University of Michigan where she

was a McGregor Fellow in Geriatric Social Work. She also completed her MS in Gerontology at UMass Boston where she is currently a Doctoral Candidate in Gerontology. Hayley’s research focuses on the recruitment, retention, training, and supervision of the direct care workforce.

Sydney Axelrod, MA, Training Facilitator

    Sydney oversees the organization and facilitation of all
    grant-funded
training activities conducted through the foundation.
    She is responsible for the marketing, scheduling, and instruction
    of training
programming and is also involved in training curriculum
    management and development. Prior to joining the Council,
    Sydney received an MA in Peace and Conflict Studies from The
    University of North Carolina Greensboro. Her work in the
    Greensboro community focused on developing curriculum and
    expanding access for conflict resolution education training across
    private, public, and academic sectors. Sydney received her
    Bachelor's degree from SUNY Geneseo in Sociology and Conflict Studies.

Lesley Ayala, Administrative Assistant     

    Lesley provides administrative support to Council staff, oversees
    registration for the Council events and trainings, and ensures all
    members and public concerns are addressed. Through her role, 
    she also assists with bookkeeping and updates and maintains  
    Council databases. Prior to this position, she coordinated 
    marketing events as a head teller for Century Bank and was a  
    copy consultant for Staples, Copy & Print. Lesley is currently 
    earning her Bachelor's Degree at Boston College with a major in
    Social Science.
